As a photographer/artist, I enjoy utilizing a range of processes throughout my work. When it comes to my photography, whether it’s landscapes, portraits, or still life’s, I mainly focus on the theme of nostalgia as it tends to flow out of my work naturally. I personally like to create a sense of warmth throughout my images. Almost creating stories for viewers to perceive or even make up themselves along the way. Within this past year, I have begun to explore more experimental methods for producing photos. Camera-less photography, as well as 3D photography, are two techniques that I have gravitated towards the most. By using camera-less photography, I am able to manipulate and warp the aesthetic of my images. The main goal for this type of work is to essentially confuse the viewer with what they’re looking at. 3D photography, on the other hand, allows me as an artist to design alternate realities and dimensions. Through these two opposing processes, I want to discuss the ideas of growing up with technology and how it's continuously evolving. My nostalgia based work is more straightforward as it is a way for me to showcase that, although technology has changed, we can still utilize these simpler formats to create an image stuck in time. My experimental work comes into play when it allows me to manipulate these very images with the most recent technology.
